Odyssey leaves Greenleaf, resumes activity on sim

After 21 months of RL time, Odyssey's highly eventual visit to Greenleaf Skyplex has concluded and activity is resuming on that sim.

A new category and two new sims for Phoenix

After discussion among our members, we have created a new category to showcase the newest sims on our site and also those that we consider worthy of special prominence.

This category includes our 2012 Sim of the Year Greenleaf Skyplex, but also our two newest sims.

The first is The Dark Cometh, an original sim created by one of our newest players, RavenSkycatcher. This near future sim is a superhero one and we hope it flies high without getting its cape sucked into a passing jet.

We are also returning to the world of Star Trek with one of two planned sims in this category, USS Phoenix by Krista Bäckman. We also wish a long and safe voyage for that sim.

RP News: Explosion on Greenleaf Skyplex

The sim Greenleaf Skyplex has been hit by an explosion, which was felt throughout the entire space station. At several places, the lights suddenly went off, followed by a deafening roar, which was accompanied by the sound of tortured steel and glass.

The explosion was caused by a bomb that went off at the Phantasm fetish club on deck 5. The explosion caused a breach in the station’s hull near the VIP lounge of the club through which several people were sucked into the Black. The bombing also caused a fire in the lounge as well as some other areas of the club, although the fire suppression system kicked in soon, minimizing the fire damage. Soon after that, the emergency seals also fell into place.

At the time of the bombing, the famous music star Lizzy Lusko was in a private room together with an unknown male guest. The room was spared from the bombing, protecting both Lusko and guest, but her bodyguard who had been stationed just outside had not been so lucky.

The number of deaths and casualties is still unknown, as is the reason for the bombing, which occurred at 9 pm sharp. (mb)

Phoenix Roleplaying wins five Simulation Cup awards

The results of the 2012 Simulation Cup have been announced and Phoenix Roleplaying has done very well indeed!

We entered a total of nine sims and five of them won awards in this competition, whose judges included our own Robert Longtin (although he did not judge any contest with Phoenix sims in).

Kvant won Outstanding Firefly Sim, with The West Star collecting Outstanding Star Wars Sim. 

Excellence awards were also collected by Fighter Ops, Greenleaf Skyplex and Jericho, for creativity, character development and originality respectively.

We will be receiving fuller feedback on our performance and these comments will be posted on the site as soon as possible after we received them.

Odyssey visits Greenleaf Skyplex

If you're wondering why Odyssey has gone a bit quite, it's because the ship is currently visiting Greenleaf Skyplex in our first crossplay. So, if you're interested in joining either sim, it's a great opportunity to do so!
