mlb38, a relatively new player to the site (she joined in August last year) has been appointed as the new editor of The Burning Question following Mischa Brendel's departure from the site.

While it is yet to be confirmed when any next issue will appear, it should not be too long before it is released; regular contributor Silent Hunter has a number of articles already submitted that would be available to form a featured article.

Sim Development Officer appointed

Dondi (dratliff) has been appointed by General Coordinator Misty Diamond as the new Sim Development Officer.

SoapyMac becomes Deputy General Coordinator

Newly re-elected General Coordinator Misty Diamond has appointed Dale, known on the forums as SoapyMac, as her deputy.

Further appointments are likely to follow in the next few days.

Giorgo Borgo appointed Deputy General Coordinator

Newly confirmed General Coordinator Misty Wilson has appointed Giorgo Borgo, aka ksabers, as her Deputy General Coordinator.

This is the second American-European combo in Phoenix's history; British Silent Hunter appointed American Kevin Diamond as his deputy, partly to ensure better coverage of time-sensitive issues.

Misty Wilson becomes Deputy General Coordinator

Jason Andersen has confirmed that Misty Wilson, currently the Contender, will also be his Deputy General Coordinator.

While this may seem strange, he has assured the membership this does not violate the site's legislation.

ksabers named Deputy EVC

In one of the first major governmental changes of the new administrations, Zuzutoo has named ksabers as his Deputy Elections and Voting Coordinator; he is already Sim Development Officer.

As yet, we do not have a Deputy General Coordinator, but one should soon follow.

ksabers replaces Amanda Bond as Sim Development Officer

There has been a change of Sim Development Officer due to Amanda Bond having to take a year long LOA for personal reasons. She has been replaced by ksabers.

Amanda's departure would also appear to mark the closure of the Tournament of Simulations winning sim The Elemental, but this is yet to be confirmed.

Misty Wilson appointed Advertising and Community Officer

A long-standing vacancy in the administration has been filled - Misty Wilson has agreed to take on the position of Advertising and Community Officer during a discussion on external advertising of Phoenix Roleplaying.

She will hold this position, as does the rest of the administration, until the end of the current GC's tenure and any further appointment will be up to his successor.

Mischa Brendel becomes Election and Voting Coordinator

Following the departure of Robert Longtin, Mischa Brendel, the current Deputy Election and Voting Coordinator, has agreed to take his place as Election and Voting Coordinator (EVC).

He will hold this post until the next EVC elections.

Two new Sim Leader appointments - one for a new sim

After much discussion, SoapyMac has replaced Jason Andersen as Sim Leader of Zombies and will now proceed in a major change of that sim.

In addition, we have now gone back up to 31 sims at Phoenix, with RavenSkycatcher's third sim in the highly successful supers series The Dark Cometh being launched - CANIS Pacifica.

Change of SL for Zombies

In a change of command, Jason Andersen has replaced Dondi Ratliff as Sim Leader of our favourite (only in fact, unless they start turning up in Forgotten Realms) sim involving the undead - a move I confirmed as GC today.

This was by mutual agreement and we wish Jason every success in his new role.

Jason Andersen appointed Acting Deputy Technical Coordinator

Due to Euan Reid's long-term LOA (which should hopefully end soon), Jason Andersen has been appointed by the General Coordinator to act as his deputy on a provisional basis until his return.

Krista Bäckman leaves Phoenix

Krista Bäckman, long-standing member and SL of WW3 has left Phoenix Roleplaying for personal reasons.

She'll be missed and hopefully we'll see her back one today.

Silent Hunter will take over the leadership of the currently suspended WW3.

Mike Palmer becomes XO/ASL of Odyssey

Mike Palmer has accepted the offer of becoming XO of Odyssey, one of our Firefly sims.

Nicole Rennolds becomes XO of Atlantis

Following the departure of Mike Kennedy from the role, Nicole has been selected to take over the position as second-in-command of the most popular Phoenix sim.

Whether she'll be using existing character Morgan O'Doyle, the ship's expert gunner, or creating a new XO character remains to be seen.

Update 1/3: Nicole informs me that Morgan O'Doyle is likely to be promoted.

Dawn Castell appointed to Moderator Team

General Coordinator Plom today announced that Dawn Castell will be moderating the Stargate OOC area under the leadership of Nick Buchanan.
