About this blog

This is the official blog of Phoenix Roleplaying, a multi-genre simming site, created in August 2010.

Run by the players, we hope to achieve great things.

Where our journey takes us, who knows.

Editorial: Update on our technical situation

Basically, the hosts have pulled our site, on what is "most likely a violation of the TOS". They can't even properly explain why they've taken down our site. Bunch of amateurs in my opinion...

The full correspondence is here if you want to read it.

Basically, we've got to find another host. Technical Coordinator Euan Reid isn't sure how long that will take.

Even worse, we appear to have lost the last three weeks worth of posting - our last backup appears to be from 19 March. Shame, there's been some good stuff recently.

We'll keep you informed. Now, if you excuse me, I'm off to play Battlefield 2 and vent my frustrations that way.

The Phoenix will fly again. We've just had to make an emergency landing.

  1. That's really bad news. I hope things can be sorted out quickly and I appreciate all the effort that is being put in by those working behind the scenes to get things going again.

And thank you Silent, for keeping us up to date through the blog.

  2. That is terrible that it appears they don't give any info at all on why things are deleted. Browsing through their abuse forum and other cases it seems like they are pretty brusque and not forthcoming about anything.
